Do we need to buy a kiosk?

No. Medicasimple is completely software based. Patients confirm using their own mobile phones.

Which channels do you support?

SMS and WhatsApp. Confirmation messages are sent through the channel used by your Appointment Reminders automation.

Do patients need to download an app?

No. Patients just click a secure link in the message and respond with a simple confirmation.

How fast does the clinic diary update?

In real time. The appointment status changes instantly when the patient answers.

Does this require other modules to be active?

Yes. Activate Appointment Reminders first. Self check-in confirmations run on top of that automation.

Can we customise the confirmation message?

Yes. Edit confirmation templates in Settings under SMS Automation.

What does the patient actually see?

Patients receive appointment details with a clear yes or no prompt in one message.

When do patients get the message?

It sends automatically before the appointment based on your Appointment Reminders timing settings.

What if a patient ignores the message?

The appointment stays unconfirmed. Reception can follow up manually or let reminders retry.

Is the confirmation link secure?

Yes. Patient links are protected and follow strict data privacy standards.

No. Self check-in confirms arrival intent before the visit. It does not manage live queue times.

Can patients add a note when confirming?

The prompt captures confirmation status only. Patients can call or message separately for extra notes.
