Quick answers about treatment planning, clinical workflows, and patient communication in Medicasimple.
What statuses does a treatment go through?

Each treatment is either waiting or done. Tap the tick to mark it complete. At the plan level, you see the full picture: how many are waiting, how many are done, and what's left.

Can I undo a completed treatment?

Yes. Reverting removes the automatic entry. Any payment you added manually stays untouched. The treatment goes back to its previous status.

Can I create template plans for common cases?

Yes. A corresponding entry appears in the patient’s financial record the moment you mark it done.

Can I track which treatments are completed?

Yes. Filter by status to see every open treatment. Sort by patient, doctor, or date range. Filter by status to see what's outstanding and catch unfinished cases before patients go quiet.

Can multiple doctors work on the same plan?

Yes. Transfer treatments between providers, assign different doctors per treatment line, and track who did what. Everything stays in one unified plan.

Does it work on mobile?

Full treatment planning from the mobile app. Charting, pricing, notes, all available. Review plans between appointments or approve from anywhere.

Can I complete multiple treatments at once?

Yes. Select the treatments and complete them in one action. You can set the date for the batch too.

What happens to billing when I undo a treatment?

The automatic financial entry is removed. Any payment you added manually stays in the ledger.

Can I filter treatments by doctor?

Yes. View treatments assigned to a specific clinician, across all patients or within a single patient.

Does it submit to the USS automatically?

Completed treatments appear in the USS screen automatically. From there, select the unsent items and click “Send Selected”. If there are missing fields, the system highlights them so you can fix them first.

Can I lock a plan so prices stay fixed?

Yes. Any user can lock a plan from the three-dot menu. Prices become read-only and treatments can’t be added or removed. Unlocking requires a separate permission set in Settings, so only the right people can change agreed prices.

Can I move treatments between sessions or doctors?

Yes. Transfer treatments between sessions within the same plan, or reassign them to a different clinician. Select the treatments, choose the new doctor, and confirm. This works for both planned and completed treatments.

Who can mark treatments as completed?

Controlled by role-based permissions. You decide which team members can complete, undo, or edit treatment status.

Can a clinician complete another doctor’s treatment?

Only if the “edit other doctor’s treatments” permission is enabled. Otherwise, each clinician manages their own.

Is there an audit trail for completions?

Yes. Completion dates, who completed, and all status changes are logged.

Can I export incomplete treatment reports?

Yes. Export to Excel for follow-up, recall, or management review. You can also view the completed treatment report and completed treatment counts separately, each with their own filters and Excel export.

Does plan locking prevent deletion?

Yes. A locked plan cannot be deleted or modified until an authorised user unlocks it.

Can I hide treatment prices from certain staff?

Yes. Price visibility is a separate permission. Clinical staff who don’t need financial details won’t see them.
