How do I enable recurring appointments?

Go to Settings > Calendar Settings and activate Recurring Appointment. Once on, every new booking shows a Repeat Appointment checkbox at the bottom right.

Can I set different intervals like every 2 weeks?

Yes. When you tick Repeat, you choose the interval in weeks and which day or days the patient returns. Every 1, 2, 3, or 4 weeks all work.

Can I book multiple days per week in one go?

Yes. Select Monday and Wednesday, set the total visit count, and the system creates all appointments across both days in one step.

What happens if a recurring slot has a clash?

The system checks availability before confirming each slot. If a conflict exists, you see it before saving the series.

Can I change the total number of visits after creation?

You can add or remove individual appointments from the series without breaking the rest of the chain.

Does the recurring pattern show on the weekly and monthly views?

Yes. All generated appointments appear on the calendar immediately and are visible in both weekly and monthly views.

Do notes carry over to each recurring visit?

Appointment context stays attached to each visit in the series. If you added a note to the first session, later sessions reference the same patient record and context.

What happens if I need to reschedule one visit in the middle?

You can move individual appointments without affecting the rest of the series. The moved visit keeps its notes and patient context.

Is the interval truly weekly, not monthly?

Yes. The system uses week-based intervals, not calendar months. Every 4 weeks always means 28 days, regardless of whether the month has 30 or 31 days.

Can I verify the full series before confirming?

The system shows all generated dates before you save. You can review and adjust before anything is created on the calendar.

Can hygienists and specialists use this too?

Any provider with a calendar can have recurring appointments. The feature is not limited to a specific role.

Does this work with the mobile app?

Recurring appointments created on web are visible on mobile. The mobile app shows the full series on the calendar.

Does recurring appointment data appear in reports?

Yes. Each visit in a recurring series is treated as a standard appointment. It shows in utilisation, attendance, and revenue reports like any other booking.

Can I see which appointments belong to the same series?

Yes. The calendar groups recurring visits so you can identify the full series from any single appointment in the chain.

What happens if a clinician leaves and I need to reassign the series?

You can update individual appointments in the series to a different provider without breaking the remaining bookings.

Is there an audit trail for changes to recurring bookings?

Yes. Moving, cancelling, or editing any visit in the series is logged. You can see who changed what and when.

Can I export a list of upcoming recurring visits?

Yes. The calendar export includes recurring appointments. You can pull a day or week view for team huddles or printed backup.

Does the recurring feature work across multi-location setups?

Each location has its own calendar and settings. You enable recurring appointments per location from that clinic’s calendar settings.
