Set Up SMS for Your Practice
Set your Twilio sender header in Medicasimple, save an SMS template and send a test message.
Updated
For UK practices and other markets outside Türkiye, SMS setup starts with a Twilio sender header. You can then choose the messages Medicasimple sends and check the setup with a test SMS.
1. Add your sender header
Open Settings > SMS Settings in Medicasimple. Enter your Twilio sender header and save it. Use a sender name that is ready for your practice to use.
2. Turn on the messages you need
Open Settings > SMS Automation, select Edit Templates, then write and save the message you want to use. Enable the relevant automation, such as an appointment reminder.
3. Send a test SMS
Send a message to a number you control. Check that it arrives and shows the sender you expect. If it does not, check the sender header and automation settings, then contact Medicasimple support in the app.
For template examples, see the SMS Templates guide. The Netgsm subscription steps are for Türkiye and are not part of UK setup.
