Updating GDPR SMS and Email Templates
Check the SMS and email automation templates that send the consent link after patient registration or when a patient needs the link again.

For the updated consent flow to work smoothly, your SMS and email automation templates need to include the correct consent link. The patient registration and explicit consent SMS types can use the same link.
Checking SMS automations
Go to Settings > SMS Settings > SMS Automation.
Open the Patient registration SMS type and confirm that the consent link parameter is included.
Open the Explicit consent SMS type. This template can be used when a patient cannot find the original message or when you need to resend the consent link manually.
If a template looks incorrect, contact the Medicasimple support team and ask for the current copy-and-paste template.
The recommended setup is to keep the automatic patient registration message active. This lets the consent link go out as soon as the patient is registered, without requiring the clinic team to send an extra manual SMS.
Resending the consent link manually
If a patient says they cannot find the SMS, open the patient profile and resend the consent link from the Forms area. The patient can use the link to confirm consent or withdraw a consent they previously gave.
Updating email automations
The same consent link can also be sent by email. Make sure your automatic email setup is active before using this flow.
Go to Settings > Email Settings and confirm that automatic email sending is configured.
Check the consent email and patient registration email templates.
Add a short consent instruction and the consent link parameter to the patient registration email.
Example wording:
Dear [patient name], your registration has been completed. To review and complete your consent steps, please open this link: [consent link]
After this template is saved, the registration email can include both the registration confirmation and the consent link.
