Plan Duplication

Copy an existing treatment plan and reuse it for the same or another patient instead of creating it from scratch.

Updated

What Is Plan Duplication?

The Plan Duplication feature allows you to copy an existing treatment plan and reuse it for the same or a different patient. Instead of creating a new plan from scratch, you can duplicate an existing one, make necessary adjustments, and finalize it in seconds.

Why It Matters

  • Saves time: Quickly reuse a structured plan instead of rebuilding it manually.

  • Ensures consistency: Keeps pricing, items, and clinical steps aligned across patients.

  • Reduces errors: Minimizes the risk of forgetting specific procedures or costs when recreating plans.

  • Improves efficiency: Perfect for repetitive or template-based treatments.

For clinics with high patient volume, this feature standardizes planning and ensures that similar treatments follow the same structure and pricing logic.

How It Works

  1. Open a patient profile and go to the Treatment Plans tab.

  2. Select the treatment plan you want to duplicate.

  3. Click the "Copy" option.

Best Practice Tips

  • Use plan duplication when multiple patients require the same type of treatment (for example, implant or whitening procedures).

  • After duplicating, always review details like assigned doctor, discounts, or patient-specific notes before final approval.

  • You can also duplicate plans across patients if your workflow supports template-based setups for standardized treatments.

Summary

Plan Duplication helps clinics create accurate treatment plans faster and more consistently. By duplicating existing plans instead of recreating them manually, you reduce repetitive work, maintain consistency across similar cases, and keep your clinical process efficient and error-free.
