Multiple Treatment Lists

Why It Matters

Every clinic operates differently; some have multiple branches with different pricing, while others work with international patients or special insurance contracts.

With Multiple Treatment Lists, Medicasimple allows clinics to maintain separate treatment pricing structures, switch between them instantly, and create customized treatment plans that match each case’s specific context.

This feature ensures that your team can quote treatments accurately, transparently, and in line with each clinic’s policy; without having to modify a single master list every time.

How It Works

1. Creating a New Treatment List

Navigate to Settings → Treatments and click Add Treatment List.

You can:

  • Create a list from scratch, adding your own treatment names and prices

  • Or import the standard Default Medicasimple List option as a base

  • Adjust prices individually or apply bulk percentage changes (e.g., +10%)

Once your list is created, click Activate to make it available for selection during treatment planning.

💡 Pro Tip: You can maintain multiple lists such as “Main Clinic,” “Partner Clinic,” or “International Prices” to match your operational needs.

2. Selecting a Treatment List During Planning

When you open a patient’s profile and click Add Treatment Plan, the system automatically loads the currently active treatment list.

If you’d like to use another list without changing global settings:

  1. Go to the treatment planning screen.

  2. Locate the list name displayed on the left side of the page.

  3. Click the name; a dropdown will appear showing all available treatment lists.

  4. Select the list you wish to use.

Once selected, the plan instantly updates to reflect that list’s pricing and available procedures.

3. Editing or Uploading Lists

You can update your lists anytime:

  • Download an existing list to your computer.

  • Adjust treatment names, categories, or prices in Excel.

  • Re-upload the updated version via the Upload Treatment List section by dragging and dropping your file.

The new data is automatically integrated, so the changes take effect immediately.

4. Use Cases and Best Practices

  • 🏥 Multi-branch clinics: Assign a different treatment list to each branch or doctor group.

  • 🌍 Health tourism: Offer separate currency-based lists (e.g., USD or GBP pricing).

  • 🤝 Corporate or insurance partners: Maintain custom pricing lists per partner contract.

  • 💬 Transparent communication: Ensure that front-desk and doctors use the same updated price structure.

Permissions and Access

Only users with Treatment Management permissions can create or modify treatment lists. Other staff can view or select available lists during treatment planning but cannot alter pricing.

Best Practices

  • Review and update your treatment lists quarterly to keep prices accurate.

  • Keep your treatment lists organized with clear names; for example: Main List, Partner Clinic, or USD-Pricing.

  • Always verify the active list before starting a treatment plan; especially if your clinic manages multiple branches.

  • Combine this feature with Advanced Treatment Planning for even smoother multi-currency and multi-location workflows.
